I sent my FOID renewal in 3.5 weeks ago, and my check has not cleared yet. Many searches show typical expedient check clearing from ISP. Should I assume it was lost in the mail and reapply, or wait a bit longer. I called the State Police, and they say I wasn't on any list. Would it be fraudulent to reapply? The state police guy wasn't much help.
Thanks. |

My check cleared Nov 27. No FOID yet, current one expires in March. The last thing I read indicated they were mailing them out roughly 60 days after the check clears. I was gonna say I'm not too concerned about it but I just checked my FOID, it expires Feb 1st. It's my DL that expires in March. |

Where do you live? If I were you I'd call my state senator or state rep. (Of course unless they are both hard core libs.) Luckily my Senator is one of the most Pro2A guys in the state and my rep is a Pro2A Dem. If your up north you might be screwed. Yeah. My rep is the hard core gun grabber. But I'll still call her. The staff person in Springfield seems willing to help. They are probably the one that calls the ISP anyway. |

Marty Moylan, if he's been sworn in yet, what's worse is, he's my neighbor. |
