Based strictly on cost you can't beat Rink's in Lockport. $9 to use the range, handguns and 22LR rifles only. The range is fairly outdated, poorly lit and has bad ventilation but for $9 it is still worth it.
For a nice range at a decent price I go to Midwest Guns in Lyons. They are $12 with ammo and half price on Fridays. Again handguns only but more modern and clean. I live right by JR's in Aurora and they have a nice range but I am disappointed every time I go in there. They are up over $20 unless you buy ammo for unlimited handguns or $35 per hour for rifle. I have been in many times since I can shoot my AR and have never met an employee that acted liked they wanted to be there. |
