I might be taking a job over in Indiana driving. My question is, is there a difference in bennifets if I join the
teamsters there or should I join here? I've tried looking online to find the differences but no luck. Any info
would be great. Thanks.

I don't know how it is with the Teamsters, but in most labor unions, if you don't join locally, you are considered an outsider, and you will be intimidated.
Illinois labor unions do not want members from other councils, coming from out of state, and doing work in their areas.
The "union brotherhood" thing, doesn't happen, when you cross state or "district" lines, and work outside of your given area.  The locals think you are taking away their work, and if they find out, you're in trouble.

I'm a Member of Local 705 out of Chicago, but I work in Indiana, who are you going to work for?
