Hello from across the river.  I have trained at the NAWTTC(Impact Training) a couple of times and look forward to return trips.

I noticed two things: their website is down and the classes that were scheduled to be hosted there (Pat McNamara and Dave Harrington) in 2012 are now removed from the Grey Group training page.

Did they close up shop?

Yep, they are done.  From what I've heard there was some issues between some of the owners so it was shut.  My shop is only a couple miles from the facility and I didn't hear as much shooting coming from that direction this summer than in years past...

That is a shame.  It was a great facility.

From what I got through the grape vine is...

One of the partners that was brought in thought he should have gotten more than he did. So he was in the process of suing them for more.

Within the process of court battles, it was more cost effective to close the location down than hire a lawyer to fight a battle that could stretch out three years. While ending up costing more in legal fees and such even though they could have won the battle than what it would have been worth.

I hate to see it go, they were a good group up there. I always had fun just stopping in.

Hopefully it will re-open again, it was the perfect location for Bullpup Shoot 2011, and we were planning on doing Bullup Shoot 2012 there!

Bingo!!  It's sad that the training center is just sitting up there in the hills with nobody using it.  I think there was also a lack of using the facility to it's full potential.  They could of easily set-up some carbine, three-gun, and/or USPSA matches to get people out there and bring in some revenue.  People come out for a match, see the facility, and sign-up for a class.  We'll see what comes of it...

Anybody know if the "former" Instructors are teaching on the side ?

I had planned on attending the Sniper courses, but LIFE related issue arose last year.
