I have a buddy who is trying to transfer a Handgun from Nebrska(Dealer) to illinois (paying a FFL). If he has a disorderly conduct will this show up on his back ground check nd not allowhim to recieve the gun???

Most dealers i have dealt with will gladly run the background check for you and make sure yu are gtg. Does he have a foid card? If he has a valid foid he should be fine. I would have him contact a dealer for the $2 background check first to save time and money.

As long as he is an IL resident, has a FOID card, no misdemeanor domestic violence convictions, or felony convictions, nothing outstanding, that would have required him to turn in his FOID card, he should be good to go.

A disorderly conduct conviction is not a disqualifying event.
