We just did an AR15/M16 Armorer and Advanced Armorer Course in Russell IL.  We have not done a class in Peoria as of yet, though if we could find a place to have a class and enough interest then we could make it happen.

I'd be interested if you had one in the Peoria Area.

I know its a hike but Implact Tactical in Mt. Carroll (formerly Blackwater North) is offering an Armalite AR 2 Day Armorers Course April 19-20.

What is taught in these classes that is that incredibly difficult?

I mean, with all the resources of this website, the only thing I refrain from doing is installing an A2 rear sight(because it is a PITA), and removing a barrel extensions.

whoa.... ITC Seems a lil steep on their prices. especially if they can "Give half off if you bring a friend" that's ridiculously high to start with. if you were becoming a certified AR- Armorer I could understand that.

Quality instruction is going to cost some coin.

For most of us non professional types I would venture that our garage or basement AR handy work will suffice.  We all know somebody with a vice, barrel wrench, action block, big hammer and a dremel.

Man, I would LOVE to take an armorers class, but I agree. $300 is a little steep. If it were more like $150, I'd probably do it.

Edit: Didn't realize that it's actually a factory certification course. They should hold one for the average joe that's a bit cheaper.

Why should they lower prices for the "Average Joe" when they are teaching you a skill that you can use to make money?  Sorry but this is capitalism.
