Hey Guys,
well a new year, means more time to shoot. ( I hope ). I am currently working on trying to get some ideas for us to shoot. DATE so far will be; SAT JAN 22. Again it is our intention to Host the ASC-PRC's on the 4th SAT of each month. Just a personal note ** Come Jan 10 I will be back on Dayshift and opposite of my current work schedule, so... I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAKE IT to most of the PRC's this year. With Work training and personal training schedules, Family trip ( I might miss the ZS 2011 ) And trying to get my TPRC off the ground.... OK Just got word from PECKER he will be heading up this months PRC. If i can make it, I'll be there to RSO. |

Yup, 4th Saturday of the month. I still have to get some of the planning done, but in the winter months we'll be flexible and roll with what mother nature lets us accomplish. More details to come out soon by the end of this week. ––John DO you still have my zombie shirt in the back of your car?

Hey Guys, John from Aurora Sportsmen's Club here.
We'll be having our monthly Practical Rifle event. With the weather forecast up in the air, it's going to be a more informal event this month. To minimize set up time and time out in the cold I'll bring out some steel targets and a few paper targets and we can set up informal drills and challenges as the crowd and weather allows. Bring your ideas! Due to the more informal nature, this month will be FREE for ASC Members and only $10 for our guests. As always, safety brief at 9:30 AM, shooting to begin at 10 am on the 100 yard range. Plan on about 100 rounds and 3 magazines. |

Looks like it's gonna be a COLD one! Yeah, it probably will be. And that's one of the main reasons it will be more informal without a lot of set up etc before hand. No offense, but I don't want to spend 8 hours planning and setting up an event to have 4 guys show up and stand in the ice and snow. But, like last winter, we can still manage to have some fun. ––John |
and I didn't even think about using the barrel as a hand warmer!
I will make it next month though....
