So I had a TON of good responses from the board about my failed attempt to move into Aurora... now I am looking at a town house in Naperville...

Any pluses or minuses for this township?
I am looking at a town house right off of Diehl and just a hair west of 59.

Not bad, just a lot of traffic in the area.  Other than that you should be GTG.

Tons of traffic there.

I live on 59 and Mack right now so I know about the traffic.
I would just go down to EOLA and come in the back way... just a little faster...

I like naperville a lot, super nice neighborhood, and everything you need is at or within 5 miles, maybe less.  Traffic yes, but naperville also has a huge job market as well.

Great area! Great school district. Obviously great I88 access. Everything & anything shopping or dining-wise can be found along rt59 (except gunshop  ) Traffic can get heavy around rush hr & weekends. We'd practically be neighbors (2 mins away by car).

Is she cute?
Does she need a place to stay?
I will have one bedroom that I will not be using...

No, Seriously I will have one bedroom that I will not use in the town house if I get it...
Let me know.

Yes but I was simply pointing out that there's so many restaurants/stores right on 59 that you'll seldomly need to travel elsewere.

LOL

I personally find it worthwhile to drive an etxra 15-20 min down to Megasports (or Megaworld as my friends & I call it). It does stink that JR's is so close but so dang expensive.

I'm 24.  Doing the math, it seems you are 37 or 38.

Edited to fix quotes.

She has.  The college however took their sweet f'n time sending her information so she missed the boat on getting the dorm she wanted(Kimmel) so she is going to get whatever is available.

My apologies for hijacking your thread.  My father used to work off of 59 and my sister had an internship at Diehl and Washington.

I just turned 38.  I hope she has good luck in finding something that will work for her.
If not let me know... I have a GF and my little guy stays over every other weekend... so no hanky panky for me!

The area you are describing is Pebblewood. Odds are NPD223 has spent some time there professionally, but overall it isn't that bad.

I like Naperville. Yes it has its traffic and a couple knuckleheads on city council, but that is to be expected in a city this size. It is consistently rated as one of the best places to live in America. It has good people. Its a good place to call home.

I prefer Megasports as well

Naperville has a shotgun range within a half mile of their down town area, if that helps.  It is a town founded by Republians and developed by Republicans.  Enjoy.

It's right by Naperville Central High School, it's a good place to go if you're into trapshooting but they only allow steel which makes it a bit more expensive.

It also makes it harder on your gun.

I have an old SxS Iver Johnson that I wouldn't want to shoot with steel, and it's not really all that valuable.
There are some very shootable relics out there that won't be shot at Naperville.
