I picked up a small Rossi .22LR cal revolver with 2" barrel at an auction a while ago. Its the smallest 7 shot I have ever seen.
Given the inexpensive blue book value (<$100) , does it make sense to get work done on it? The trigger is heavy and gritty and you have to be King Kong to pull the hammer back with a thumb. If you think its worth it, what might the cost be and who might do it locally?? Thank you for your comments and opinions... |

'Worth it" is entirely subjective when it comes to work on guns. Many feel it's silly to spend half or more the price of a gun on work to improve it, while others consider it a small price to pay to get something that works they way they want it to.
Myself, I'd see if a spring kit (if one is available) and some stoning could help it, to minimize expense. But if you like it, and plan to keep it (you'll never recoup your investment in custom gunsmithing on it) you can spend what you like to make it what you want it to be. Larry |
