I'd like to know since I have not lived up around that area for about 10 years now is there ant laws about bullets in Cook county? I have a nephew that just bought a nice 357 wheelgun and I was wanting to send him some good ammo. He only bought FMJ rounds for shooting and the guy told him at the store they would be good for home use also!

If by the off chance you are wondering about chicago, any ammunition, other than, ammunition that is made specifically for a gun that you have registered to chicago is illegal.
i.e. if you dont have a firearm registered in chicago, all ammunition you possess would be illegal.. or if you have a 9mm pistol registered,and are found with 40 cal ammo, you would be in violation of city ordinance. i know someone is going to say " show me where it says it " look it up in the city statues yourself. 99 out of a 100 cops wouldnt even know this law exists, but it was passed a couple years ago. |
