So on a Form5 you can have a SBR in Illinois- as long as you never use it in IL.? & its only & always going to a CIII  state?

You can not own one if you live in Illinois
Sorry if I confused you
A Form 5 is used for transporting a CIII item state to state

Small correction:

A form-5 (5320.5) is for, Application for Tax Exempt Transfer & Registration of Firearms.

A form- (5320.20) is for , Application to Transport Interstate or to Temporarily Export Certain NFA Firearms.

You use the (5320.20) and not the form-5 (5320.5) to go to the creek and back.
And no SBR's in Illinois. Joe

I can have one, if I wanted to. As far as owning one there is a guy in southern Illinois who has an approved Form 1 for an SBR. It is an AR15, however even "if" he has it he still cannot put it in that configuration unless he is in a state where it is ok to possess one.
