Yeah, I'm technically in Rebeccastan. |
Its much better than Starr-istan! |
How do you get a membership at Kickapoo? That would be more convenient for me than Midwest. I see that sign all the time driving back to the Quad Cities to see family. Scott |
+1 (- the quad cities part) |
Not really. I have some of the local repeaters programmed in to my hand held. Waiting for my HF radio to show up, its back ordered. Maybe stick an antenna on the War Wagon. |

Hey guys... quick question. My mom moved about a year ago out to Peoria and apparently has a big piece of land that is secluded and big enough to shoot on so she's been telling me to go visit soon and bring my rifle. I currently live in Kalifornia and have a Kal-compliant Stag-15 (bullet-button build)... If I transport the rifle out there in a Pelican 1700 case will there be any potential problems that could come up? I know they have a special card/permit to be in possession of a firearm for residents and obviously it needs to be locked and not easily accessible but is there anything else i should be aware of regarding possession of a firearm in general or specifically with the AR? Thanks in advance! |
Statewise, no card for nonresidents. Bring/transport it: 1. Unloaded (loaded mags in case OK as long as they aren't in the gun, but it's easiest to avoid that too) 2. Encased. Your Pelican should be fine as long as it encloses the rifle. Peoria may have some special nonsense in the city proper. Locks aren't necessary statewide; don't know about Peoria. |
So, she owns a big piece of land secluded enough to shoot on. Is she single? Scott |
Well, now that I opened my mouth, I don't work there any more. I'll try to get you some contact information |
