Any Lawyers in here that can explain this? Is it that a Jury can nullify a law if they consider it to be unjust. So lets say that Crook Co. passed their law turning people into instant criminals who would have otherwise not been except for the creation of this law. Someone is brought up on charges, his or her lawyer asks the judge to inform the jury about jury nullification. Then they can consider wether the charges are justified because said law is a bad one.

I think the idea is that a jury acquits the defendant based on the fact that the law is unconstitutional.

I don't think it's a very popular idea with judges, especially the ones you'd find on a Cook County case.

I'm not a lawyer, but that's what I know.

Yes I can see how it would  and, is probably never mentioned by a Judge. Kinda takes their power away and, them out of the equation.Puts the power  back into the peoples hands. Thats why they don't like it.

Sounds like we need more of it.

And think of your jury pool.  Doubtful they would vote to nullify.

I would suggest if anyone gets a chance to be in front of a TV camera or, microphone, just say ,anti 2nd amendment is anti American, anti Constitutional, think jury nullification. Use their tactics. If it is said enough they will start to believe.
