Is'nt it funny how after the previous election with all the trouble with punch card problems, we get these electronic machines, then the Dems sweep into office.I remember seeing on tv that lady from Florida went to a warehouse were the machines are stored punched in her name and her opponents name showed up on the screen! Why don't these machines print out a receipt showing who you voted for,so we know it was entered correctly? Seem like that would be the simple solution to me.

What's funny is the democrats had so little confidence that they would win that they laid a ton of groundwork saying that the voting machines were fixed along with endless silly conspiracy theorys. They had hundreds of lawyers ready to fight Republican wins. Now that they won, what happened, did they hack the Diebold machines and steal the election? After the avalanche of how bad electronic voting is, how can we possibly trust these results?

Actually, the next two years, while being a bumpy ride, will be amusing. I predict that the greatest accomplishment of the new congress will be to hike the minimum wage. Other than making Bush kiss their asses they won't get much through. As often happens with their investigations is that they end up having to drop it after they too get caught in their own net. The Abramoff scandal is a good example, now he is going to start rat out dems.

All I can say to San Fran Nan is you're the man now dog, the time to say W is evil and we're not W is over. Time to govern bitch, let the fun begin!

We're really screwing this up. Now that we've lost, we need to begin to complain about the rampant vote fraud, fixed elections, demand recounts in Virginia, etc.

Isn't it odd that members of one party accept their losses and take their lumps graciously, and the other acts like a 2 year old when they lose?

I'm with Andy--I don't see much happening nationally, and I'll bet that the House seat count gets a lot less favorable to the Dems in 2008 at a minimum. They won a lot of districts that go Republican all the time. It's not a fundamental shift of idealology, IMO--it's just a lot of voters who are pissed off firing their reps the only way it can (realistically) be done--by giving the other party the job.
