Well,  I am getting hitched in a few weeks, and I decided that I need to make one more purchase before my mopney becomes her money.   I'm not saying that this is my last purchase(as she enjoys shooting and suopports my addiction), but it will definately be the last purchase where the funding is strictly my call.  Based on my current battery, I have decided to go with another AR or something similar.  Here are some Ideas I have played with. ( Keep in mind, I have a 16" Bushy with an ACOG  already in the safe.)

1.  AR15 - 20" w/Flat-top.  Upgrade with bi-pod, Optics(ACOG), and maybe new hand guards?

2.  M4gery -  With Optic or Aimpoint

3.  Go Retro - SP1

Any ideas would be helpfull.  I Would like to keep the budget within reason, but then again I will not be asking for permission....only fogiveness.

Best idea yet....Just keep humping her, never get married and just remember get the AR that fits her also, becuse she will end up with it in the devorce, or you will have to sell it to your buddie at a 500 dollar loss. to pay the retainer for your attorney, I`will be married ten years next month

M1A.

You've got the fantastic plastic (AR)... why not get the last metal and wood warrior?

ETA - or a CMP Garand.

20" or 24"?  I am at a crossroads here.  Which way should I go?  Does the 24 inch barrel realy provide that much better accuracy/velocity?  Would a 24" barrel be really unbalanced with a m4 stock?

You might have to cancel the honeymoon then!  I can part with it for 8K
