Bummer, no deer this season maybe better luck in Dec.

Had 4 bucks sparing a 150 yrds away but they never came close to my stand.

Then right after 4:30 had one walk under my stand and then watched me climb down the tree from about 20 yards

But did get one coyotee Sat. AM.

Had some friends that went deer hunting and they ended up getting some decent ones, but no Coyotes. I did scare up a huge Doe 2 days in a row, a rabbit, and some quail, but no coyote.

I have permission to hunt another place that might be promising. I'm going all-day Wednesday.

I lived in Cary 8 years ago before I got transferred to Texas.  I used to go hunting on a friend's farm in Woodstock.  We always had a great time hunting pheasants and geese.  For deers,  my friends and I hunted down in the Shawnee National Forest.  Lots of good memories.

Hey John,

Just got back from deer hunting in North Wisconsin.   Shot two Does with the Browning you transfered for me.   It turned out to be a really nice gun.

I would love to Bow hunt down here but I do not have anywhere to hunt.  I had to spend $160 for a Non- resident WI tag just to bow hunt a few times across the border(plus another $160 for the Gun tag).   I sure would like to get hooked up some time with a place to Bow hunt only in Northern IL.

Too bad you didn't get anything.  Better luck next season!

Yeah, that was really really a nice Browning alright!
There are places in the Mchenry area to Bowhunt through MCCD (Mchenry County Conservation District) but you have to get special permits and apply and qualify before the season.  If you get a tag they are loaded with deer, I know of a couple of people who hunted in those areas and they got 3 or 4 does and a each with a buck.
I scouted this weekend and saw one huge 12pt buck I sure hope I see him again, does and some smaller bucks.  I also saw 6 coyotees, I wish I brought my rifle.     Well I hope to have some pics after this weekend!
