woodbutcher223308 you should never feel wierd, I happen to know who you were by the pot of chille you had on the stove... I have found that the real AR15.COM members tend to be very cool and freindly at the range. I have also noticed that if you look around you will see some people also looking around, I was one of those, then I started to notice some of the members by there traits and equipment... pot of chille, trunk full of really nice mags for sale (thanks handyandy I will get more next time), driving a Neon, WIU hat, just kidding. All it takes is a "hello, are you an AR15.com Member?" to start the conversation! I would have liked to try your chille, everyone has said it is the best, but with an hour and a half ride and not having ate that day I could not trust my self to make it home in one piece! ![]() Maybe next time I will bring some of my chille and we could compare? ![]() Mack69 sorry for highjacking your thead... |
| We have to start bringing out something a little different also. I was the one with the black AR with a brass catcher bag. Oh, wait, I mean I was the one with the little revolver (Raging Bull .454) and the innocent looking 1895 Marlin(.45-70) trying to make some noise. Later I got out the TC Contender (.45-70), the .357 Colt Trooper, and the P08 Luger. |
Well you got a couple looks when you touched off that Marlin!

I tried to sneekup on you guys 'cause I know how much you like to be surprised. |
Well it worked. I am just glad you did not have an AR50. How hot did you load those things? |
The Reloading Manuals (Hornady, Speer, etc.) have a special section for guns like that. The loads are pressure tested for that action only. The warnings read something like 'DO NOT use in Trap Door Springfields or Original 1895 lever actions as serious damage can and will be inflicted on gun and shooter alike!'. And after 20 years or more of reloading the only problem I have is trying to wipe that silly grin of my face after I drop the hammer! |
