My sister just told me she wants to go to the beach downtown on Friday.

Is there any way I can find out what the "status" would be on the opening of the beaches, what with them closing due to bacteria and all, so if they are closed on Friday we could make alternate plans?

I think you just drive by and look-if everybody's walking on top of the water, it's probably not safe to swim in.
