Way to Go Jason. (FAL) For those that did not see the Monday Trib one of our own got a letter published. I did not see your post that they were going to print you letter but I remembered the content when I saw it in the paper today (see original text in this thread) ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=23&t=201850 I hope you are proud of yourself. It was a great piece of writing. Especially useful on trib readers was the reinforcing of the idea that with so much legal code already on the books can there be any real expectation for results. That more regulation will provide nothing more than a chance for some “do nothing politicians” to get some uninformed votes by creating an illusion of “Ahh! Finally were are safe”. . After reading the text of your letter on the 27th and seeing the dearth of pro 2nd amendment response to the original Trib editorial, I found myself wondering why a letter like yours was not printed. Then, lo and behold, they printed it. (I guess they had trouble reading the one that Woodbutcher sent.) Congrats to you and thanks from me. JR |
Thanks JR...I appreciate it. The editorial was so inflammatory that I couldn't help but respond to that tripe. I also had a few people look me up and call me to let me know they appreciated what I wrote as well. I just wish more people would voice their opinion and stand up and be counted. There are truly more of "us" than there are of the liberal gungrabbers...even in a state like Illinois.
