go to: maps.yahoo.com type in the city and state. a map will come up, but it starts out really close and you don't know what the hell you're lookin at. on the left there are numbers-hit like number 6. it zooms out. there you'll see it's right over the border in wisconsin. maps.yahoo.com is a pretty good tool. jake

Does Bristol still have the one round in the rifle at a time rule? I am going to go to shoot in Indiana soon too. My girlfriends's brother just casually says..."oh yeah....there's like 2 ranges right by my house, you can shoot whatever you want there even machine guns." This guy lives in IN and had no clue it was a NFA state. I feel bad, he has a baby abd a new house and in no way can afford an NFA gun, but I had to go and let him know he can actually have one. I don't know what is worse, living in a non NFA state, or living in an NFA state and being broke!! He's a super cool kid, I am going to go shoot with him soon. I will report on my travels. I am up nort der in IL up by Wisconsin don't ya know, she's about a three hour drive for me ay. I'll let all you fellow FIBS know where it is as soon as I find out exactly. I wish Bristol would let me put just three rounds in my M1A. I live like a half hour away. |

http://www.bristolranges.com/ is the link to the rifle range. YEs, its one round of centerfire at a time. You can load up 3 or so if you are zeroing in yoru rifle. Just ask first. Still, its outdoors. Its up to 200 yrds. You can pratice the 4 basic positions. Its clean, and its safe. You can load up mags for matches. Plinkin no they also are getting steel plate shoots up there too. Its a nice range to have, and its close to my home. c-rock |
| I am a member at CCKC in Bristol. The ranges are clean and if you want to load and shoot fast come up for the "URBAN COWBOY" matches. We hold them on the first Sunday of each month from May through November. You will need a pistol(revolver or semi-auto) with 3 speedloaders or 4 magazines and a shotgun. If you have a carbine or rifle in pistol cal. you can shoot three gun style. Most targets are steel only the point blank ones are paper and we shoot all kinds of combat positions(prone,around doors,using cover etc.) It's run by a great group of people and a ton of fun!!! heywww.bristolcowboyaction.com click on the URBAN COWBOY link and all the info is right there! | All of the cowboys are "BLACK RIFLE" types. On the days we shoot there are no cowboys. We switch to our t-shirts and baseball hats and pull out the modern stuff. It is a great time, all the guys r helpful and will let you shoot their stuff. If you breakdown guys will let you finish with their pistol,shotgun or whatever. It's the best $15 you can spend!!!!!!!!!!! |
