Wonderful. Looks like daley moved in demolition equipment last night, under the cover of darkness, and began tearing up the runways at CGX. Wasn't there an agreement to keep it up open? |

This guy truly is a dicktator! With Glenview Naval Airstation basically developed we need all the small airports we can get in northern Illinois. The population is increasing, but once airports like this disappear, it's like the railroads, there is no open land to put in new ones. And on top of that, they probably paid these guys overtime to wreck what the taxpayers once paid to construct! Pure genius. Can't wait till the local reporters needle him about this, if they will. They are all basically his lapdogs, with no unbiased reporting. Daley does this after he wins re-election. Figures. |

Given the fact that my girlfriend is a pilot...THIS PISSES ME OFF. I hate that motherfucker. The state of IL stated it would be kept open for the next 25 years, but no, he couldn't deal with that. Meigs Field was the only airport monitoring flight over chicago. Daley complained about lack of monitoring flight over and around chicago, yet with closing this field, he shut down ALL MONITORING equiptment for chicago. Would a terrorist really bother to land at meigs, take off, and then run into a building? No. Meigs field poses no threat. What a mother fucker. If I get some sort of terminal disease... Dont worry, I'll use a bow and arrow. |

This was a terrorist act performed by a left wing sympathizer against the publicly held infrastructure of the people of Illinois. It is also felonious destruction of public property. Since he no doubt caused millions of dollars in damage, he should be charged with a class 2 felony and incarcerated immediately after being stripped of his political office. I belive a 20 year sentance would be in order- like what he proposed for the Illinois owners of a few high cap magazines! The next question is where is the daley monkey bagobobitch? Is he in cahoots with this act of terrorism? |

This is nice: "The mayor said he had a conversation with Gov. Rod Blagojevich and Ryan about it. He said he did not consult the aldermen on the matter. " Nice. I wonder the next conversation will be about? Probably those pesky firearms. Those are, afterall, a threat to homeland security. |

If it wasn't obvious before, it should be obvious now..... Our state is in the hands of a paranoid delusional. All his actions to this point prove it. We should summarily reject everything he says because it's obvious what motivates him. Here's a web page about the whole thing: friendsofmeigs.org/ |
