How much coverage do you carry on your vehicles?
Full coverage to cover whatever may happen. $250 Collision and $50 Comprehensive deductibles. Since both car and homeowner's are under same company we have minimum for the auto liability with an umbrella from the homeowner's side. Increases total liability coverage but at a lower rate than simply having a higher auto liability would have.

| 250/500 with matching UM/UIM. You can also get a $1M umbrella policy for dirt cheap. "Full coverage" really doesn't mean anything, particularly with regard to policy limits. I don't do much personal injury work but have had plenty of clients walk in stating that they have full coverage only to find out that their limits are the statutory minimums. |

Don't cheap out and get the minimum either. Go full bore and get the 100k/300k with uninsured motorist as there are lots of folks that don't bother to carry insurance. It's not just that but the number of folks with suspended or revoked or just no licenses. Most insurance companies only cover a vehicle if it is operated by a properly licensed driver. |
