Lowden has contributed to dingy harry again and again. That's a deal breaker for me. Sandoval has supported drivers licenses for illegals and is not as conservative as I would like but he is who we have. He is supporting Hutchison but Lowden says Hutchison has voted to support obummercare. Who are you supporting for Lt. Governor and why? In District 4  we have Niger Innis, he is NRA pro gun and is my choice for Congress.

Fairly certain that Hutch opposed Obamacare, or not...

He did but subsequently voted for several bills that enabled it after it was enacted, according to Lowden. How is he on the 2A?

maybe he was for it before he was against it...

not sure, this is all I could find

Endorsed by the NRA in 2012, given a 92% rating. Not sure what that entails.

Voted against background checks (SB 221)

Found this as well.

“It is shameful that my opponent would use the victim of a horrible crime to raise money for her failing campaign,” Hutchison wrote in an email. “I’m the father of three daughters. I favor the right of college students who qualify for a CCW permit to carry a firearm on campus for their personal safety. The bill that is referenced never even reached the state Senate for consideration. As a constitutional lawyer and conservative, I strongly support Second Amendment rights. I’m a Life Member of the National Rifle Association and the Golden Eagles within the NRA. I have a CCW permit, and received the highest rating by the NRA. The Nevada Firearms Coalition recognized my leadership on Second Amendment issues during the 2013 legislative session.”

and this:

The Republican: During the past session of the Legislature, there were many bills brought that related to the protection of 2nd Amendment rights. One of the most controversial of those, known as the Campus Carry, and it died in committee despite the testimony of rape survivor, Amanda Collins. If you were governor, would you sign or veto such a bill and why?

Senator Hutchison: Well, I’m a life member of the National Rifle Association. I was, or I am, a member of the American Eagle, excuse me, a member of the Golden Eagle Association. I’m a concealed carry weapons permit holder. And I’m somebody who is a ardent supporter of the Second Amendment. I was opposed to SB221 which would have created a gun registry within the State of Nevada. I gave speech about that on the Senate floor. And I believe strongly in our Second Amendment rights. I believe that Americans have the right to carry weapons as long as it consistent with both federal and state law. If there was a law that was presented for “campus carry” I would support that law.

Thanks. That's good enough for me.

Once again, damn if we do, damn if we don't.

The problem with Hutchison is that he is Sandoval's pick for successor when he abandons his post as Governor in two years to run for Pinky Reids seat on his way to trying to become the first "hispanic"  POTUS.
Sandoval is a squishy R, which tells me that Hutchison is NOT really so conservative as he wants us to believe.
Sandoval claims to be a conservative too.

It's a foul, rancid, and horrible choice either way.
Sandoval is seriously unqualified to be POTUS and I really doubt he has a chance of winning such a race unless "Race" always trumps principle now?
Funny how Sandoval only became "Hispanic" so late in his career, as I recall he used to be just another Nevadan with some Basque heritage.

So now Lowden ends up being the best means to derail Sandoval's scheme.
Probably why the D's made so little effort to put up a serious candidate.
They know to stand aside when the R's are taking "Friendly Fire" from their own ranks and will be happy to get a liberal leaning R.
And both candidates appear a bit too liberal for my taste, perhaps not in the exact same area's but certainly neither are Goldwater republicans.

Lowden hid the votes at the republican convention a few years ago.  I can't vote for her.

BUNK! Simply not true, and I find it ridiculous that I now find myself having to defend her from that accusation.
I was at that convention, I was a delegate.
The fluster-cluck there was NOT Lowdens fault, it was an attempted Putsch by the Ron Paul Zealot faction.
I KNOW this FOR CERTAIN because I was at the RP meeting the night before that was held at the high school.
At that meeting they finalized their plans to disrupt the convention, plant their own agenda, their own own (False) platform and slate of candidates, etc.
They were determined to use any means possible to hijack the delegate count for RP.
What they succeeded in doing was to create mass confusion so that every simple little agenda item took too long.
The room was only leased for a set amount of time, when time ran out we lost the use of the room before the convention business was complete.
This is what happens when zealots demand they get their way or they will not allow anyone else to conduct the business at hand.
Before you accuse me of being an anti-RP you should know I actually voted for RP in the preference poll that year, I was INVITED to the RP meeting.
But after witnessing the zealots in action and knowing RP should have prevented that if he truly believes in the American way he lost both my support and respect.

Lowden is not great, but she is probably the best qualified to promote Nevada tourism.
I've always thought that the Lt. Gov. should be about more than that if the position is really necessary.
Lowden being able to move up to Gov. seems unlikely.
From what I see we are probably looking at an "Open" Gov. race in the next couple of years no matter who becomes Lt. Gov. this year.
THEN the D's will pour everything they have, from union arm twisting to a new ACORN fraud org. into taking the governors office.

Vote carefully, elections have consequences.

Yes, I was a RP delegate.  Rules are rules.  Nothing will change with establishment Republicans in office.
