| I let someone I know borrow $400. The individual lost his job and last I heard was staying with a friend. I don't have his address to send a certified letter to in order to advise him to pay. If I can't send the letter, what other options do I have? |

Mark Pfister (the goofy LV weatherman who used to live here) screwed me for $500....I let karma take its course and now he is homeless and last I heard delivering pizzas in Mississippi. Is $400 even worth dealing with courts and time off work? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

A demand letter is the first step in the process. Without it, you can't move forward.
Getting the judgement is usually the easy part, collecting afterward is a HUGE pita, unless you KNOW that he has money or property that you can have seized. Unless you really need the $400, and can afford the fees, I'd just chalk it up to experience. |

sounds like he doesn't have the money anyway, let it go unless you find out he's back on his feet and can pay up. I've learned to lend money with the expectation of never getting it back, helps with the sting since that's how it usually ends up anyway. Exactly. When I give money to someone, I never expect to see it again. |
