The Carson Sheriffs Dept. Swat Team is putting on it's 1st annual Zombie Shoot tomorrow (Sat. 6-2), at the local range. 50 bucks to enter. I've been thinking about throwing in on it, but I wonder if I'll be pissing in the wind by going up against a bunch of pros. Anyone know how it's going to work? Amateur class or anything like that? Tough getting any info on it. If nothing else, I guess I'll just go up and watch, and maybe try it next time. |

Pros!?
Have you ever seen the average cop shoot? If it's a hand-gun course you might want to stand BEHIND the target for your safety! Rifle, they may be a little better, but unless you are half blind, hung over, and suffer from parkinsons you should be competitive. |

Last time I talked to my friend thats putting it on, they were coming up with a class system.
There will be 3-4 stages, pretty damn crazy awesome stages too. Lots of fun running them, we layed them out and tweaked them so they are shootable for everyone. $50 seems like a lot, but entries are limited to 100 people, and with that $50 entry you have the chance to win a Glock. They have an AR as a raffle prize too. And it is all handgun I'll be shooting it myself. EZ |

Haha, it runs good, probably going to use my STI or my home made 1911. Starts at 0830 |

Today was a damned good shoot. They had 80 participants show up, so it was a good crowd. The courses of fire were awesome, high round count, lots of movement, just a lot of fun all around! Me being white as white can be, I decided to roll up my sleeves to even out my farmers tan, but ended up getting toasted instead. I shot good today, and all my friends did also. AJ is getting to the point where she almost shoots as good as us, so I have to step up my game haha.
Cannot wait to see if I won any of the prizes. TONS of good prizes such as: Glock 19 with NS for one of the competitors The rest were all raffle prizes: Magpul DVD 8 boxes of 500 projectiles from Xtreme Bullets 500 rounds of ammo (forgot who from) $200 worth of gunsmithing from Gene Schuey/John Indel and Terry Tussey 3 custom Elk Horn Knives A TON of Blackhawk stuff CMMG M4 Spikes Tactical stripped lower from Carson Armory And a lot of other stuff that I cannot recall. Saw another guy out there shooting a Beretta, who still does that?!?!?
