Does anyone in the reno or surrounding areas have the name of a DR who is willing to treat Low T? For my age normal levels are around 600 and 800 is prefered and my levels are 290. I am normally a patient of the VA and they are unwilling to treat unless the levels are below 200 so i'm looking for a private practice dr to help me out. Just tired of being tired all the time and ready to do something about it. Yes I have had everything else checked and all other tests they can think to run are totally normal. Thanks in advance.

Before shelling out your own $$$ for a doctor's visit and then even more for a prescription, try one of these:

If you are at really low, supplements probably won't help.   I use Ageless Men's Health, but they only have LV/laughlin offices.  My first Dr thought 200 was fine; second thought 400 was great.  I lucked out on the third try.

Were your first and second dr at the same practice?  Can you PM me with the name of the third?  If the dr there is willing to do something about it i'm willing to make the drive down there.

I have tried a few different suppliments and no luck with them.  There are hundreds out there but who knows how long it would take to try them all.  I"m willing to just go to the dr and work on it that way.

Any primary care physician should be able to set you up with a prescription.  Any doctor who expects you to live below 300 is an asshole.  Just move on to the next one.

First was my GP.  Second was the urologist he sent me to when I said I wasn't happy with his "200 is ok idea'.  Third was ageless Men's health (http://www.agelessmenshealth.com/).  Downside is they do the shots weekly for me, so probably not practical for you.  Upside, I peak over 1100, and they monitor and manage the incidentals (like HGC and Estrogen levels).

Whatever you do, if you get shots, get them weekly.  Biweekly sucks, and monthly is just stupid.

Absolutely worthless.  You will not see any meaningful testosterone gains with anything over the counter.  Waste your money if you like, but try to find one with that has actually had blood testing done in a double blind test that shows results.

You need testosterone. You would be shocked how many guys are on it.  Anyone walking around with a 290 test level is a fool if he doesn't get it fixed.  Modern society wrecks men's T levels.  Our grandads walked around with higher levels in their 60's than we do in our 30's.  We are just exposed to too much crap such as chemicals, preservatives, pollution, etc.

Both my dad and I go to Dr. Peirce at Dr. Pierce.  He is an actual doctor, he is also the SWAT doc for Metro SWAT.  AWESOME doctor who knows testosterone inside and out.  My dad is on test now and it changed his life.  Since I'm still young, he was able to identify some key lifestyle changes - sleep more, drink less, eat better, plus a few vitamins and supplements that got my test back in the high 700's.  When the time comes though, I will be all over testosterone.  Life is way too short to walk around feeling like shit every day.

Be VERY VERY careful who you go to about low T.  95% of the doctors who say they treat it really have no clue and are just jumping on the money train.  Plus many aren't even doctors, they are nurses or chiropractors who are able to write scipts.  I know a lot of guys who have been jacked up by going to these doctors who didn't truly understand what they are doing.  Fixing your hormones is no joke and you better make sure whoever you listen to is an EXPERT.  Personally, I want a male doctor who is on testosterone himself due to low T to treat me, that why he knows where you are coming from.
