Not being an experienced hunter, does this story sound right?  A guy out hunting carrier bear spray, didn't shoot at the bear, etc.

Didn't know you could hunt in Grand Teton National Park...or any other national park.

Unlike most national parks, Grand Teton allows hunting during part of the year. The park’s annual elk hunting program began Oct. 8.

Bears are quick. If the hunter wasnt paying attention or even if he was the damn things can be surprisingly quiet and fast.

As to the bear spray most hunters will do everything in their power not to kill a random animal, they respect them more than most.

Glad he is alive
