I'm getting ready to head out on a 3-4 day road trip back to NC to drop off my dog and my car with my parents because I'm taking a job overseas in July.  Anyway - I was thinking about heading up through CO and some of the back roads (Durango, C-Springs, etc) on the way to pickup I-70 in Denver to head east.  I was thinking of stopping by the North rim to take a peek since I've never don the GC since I've lived here.  Is the view from the North Rim worth the 2-3 hours out of my way.  Or should I just wait until I can do the GC right some other time?

Thanks

Make sure the roads are open, I was turned around last year in late May.

Yep, pretty places. I'd do it if I was in your shoes.
