You've got to see it. It's a rare thing indeed when a remake surpasses the original, especially when said original stars The Duke, and the guy who's playing /remaking his character also starred as The Dude, from another Coen Brothers film - The Big Lebowski. Jeff Bridges nails it. Exciting story, interesting characters, unexpected scenes, gun fights. This'll be right up there with the best westerns of all time.

It is a good movie and the acting was very good but I didn't feel like it was different enough from the original to justify the remake. If you have never seen the original or don't remember it then this remake is for you.
Just look at 3:10 to Yuma as an example of a remake that took the story to a new level with some nice dark twists. |
