You guys at Creech ever get the urge to take that turn a little wide as you're going out the gate and wiping out a few of those idiots?  Every time I drive by there on the way home and see them I think, if I swerve just a liiiiiiiiiiittle bit I could instantly improve the world.

Yeah, it seems like they are protesting quite a bit more often than they used to.

"UAVs kill people!" No shit!

They would rather see U.S. Troops killed on the ground by terrorists, instead of seeing terrorists killed on the ground from the air.

Typical liberal Bullshit.

If they're working right yep, they sure do.

I haven't really wanted to turn wide.  Although I'm tempted to ask my boss for the day off tomorrow so I can have a counter protest.  I figure signs asking them when the last time they took a bath or got a paycheck was would be a good place to start.

I'm driving from Reno to Vegas on Friday.  Will I be seeing the pinkos as I drive by on 95 by Creech (probably mid-afternoon)?

They were out yesterday and the day before.  Didn't see any today.  If you do see them make sure to wave.................................I usually only use one finger when I wave at them.

Last time I knew they were there I drove down from Beatty with the dog and a big American flag.  Spent about an hour across the road from them waving the flag and giving the a thumbs up to the AF guys.  It was worth the hour drive.

Anyone know their schedule.  I'm up for another trip.

They should put up signs saying "We get it, UAV's kill people. That's kind of the point though."

There's a code pink website that list their adventures. A glance at that can tell you their next stop. They like to hit Creech around holidays.

I looked and couldn't find anything specific, so I'm either missing something or it's just some Code Pinkers meeting w/out a schedule posted online.  I'll admit that I didn't look too hard; those Code Pink and related websites creep me out something fierce.  There is an article from the LV Sun though:

Yes, protesting outside of a military base may or may not be appropriate, but for the most part I have no problem with the right of the people to do so.  TRESPASSING ON A MILITARY BASE though...can't we assume that they're spies or saboteurs or something?  We can meet the hippies half-way and use a hemp rope.

Frankly, just the picture from the article showing the signs of 'Drone attacks kill people and peace' and 'War is not the answer' fills me with that emotion known as WTF?

I've never been to Creech, so someone explain to me, where these protesters are, can people other than USAF personnel entering the base see them?  If not, why bother?

Creech AFB is right outside Indian Springs.  Yes, you can see them... they are standing right on the side of the road on Hwy 95 just before town.  If they're there in the morning, you can't miss them.  Hippies with pink peace signs and lots of Sherrif and NHP cars all around them.  I've seen them usually right 7-8 am.  I assume they show up so they get the max number of folks coming in to work.  I just shake my head everytime I see them out there....  Amusing but sad.

But who else drives through there?  The handful of times I'm driven up 95N past the North Durango exit I've seen very light traffic, so it seems like they're preaching to the very people who don't give a shit what they have to say.  Fuck 'em either way.  Every time I hear about Code Pink I think of that piece on the Jon Stewart show about them protesting the Marine Corps recruiting office in Berkeley.  That was some funny shit.

Yes, the target audience are the people on the base, NOT the handful of traffic heading on up 95.  And yes, we really don't give a shit about them.  They are exercising their free speech rights and the cops keep them out of the way, so they really are a non-factor.  Its not like they're egging cars or blocking traffic as we approach the gate.

Us Test Site geeks see 'em too.  But finding somebody that works at the Test Site that isn't prior military is like finding a Code Pinker that's showered in the past week.

There was once a calendar that showed where and when for their protest.
