I was sitting here mulling over the fate of an FN 5.7 I acquired through some trading. I was trying to convince myself why I should keep it. The safety is in the most foreign of all places compared to everything else I owner or have ever shot for that matter, so the manual of arms is a bit different in that regard. So I'm thinking maybe of making it a coyote hunting pistol. Then I get to thinking, ya know, I could probably get $800-900 for it and that would cover a new 1911 purchase, or a new M&P with a bunch of accessories.
So I'm sitting at the kitchen counter while the wife is making peanut brittle and I'm thinking hell, if it wasn't for these super long magazines it'd probably make a good chick gun what with the recoil being a little less than that of a 9mm even. So what does stupid me do? "Hey honey, see if this gun fits your hand." Surprisingly enough, she was able to get a good grip on it and reach the trigger. After a minute of playing with the controls she looks at me and says, "I like this gun, this one is mine." Well, maybe if I show her how puny the boolits are she'll change her mind... |

Same thing happened to me with one of my Sig's. It's Mama's Sig now! Ditto with my Kahr P9. Bronco, The reason we buy neat guns is to scratch an itch. The minute you sell one because it's 'not practical' is the minute you start missing it because it was neat (like a dummy I sold my old 5.7 IOM). The ONLY time you should sell a gun, is if it's a Lorcin or a Hi-Point. And then, don't tell anyone, because we will wonder about why you had it in the first place... |

NORMALLY I AGREE Dont sell it your goin to regret it....The only reason Im thinkin about selling my PS90 is so I dont have to stock 5.7. My ammo stock piles are getting out of hand...so Im trying to keep to 22, 38, 9, 40, 45, 556, 7.62x39, 6.8, 308, 300 Win Mag, Plus the Gauges. If you keep cases of ammo for every wildcat gun you have...shit Id be out of room really fast. Im trying to buy my guns in those calibers now just to have back ups for my back ups. |
