Finally able to track down a LWRC PSD upper an ordered it this morning.  Should have it first part of next week - will definately post pictures upon arrival.

Considering a can for my new baby; but i'm cautious about a can on such a short barrel - any thoughts?

Most suppressor manufacturers will not warrantee a can that was shot on a bbl shorter than their recommended 10 inches.  with that said, i know people that shoot cans on shorter bbls with no issues.

I have also seen a ton of people use cans on the short barrels

Main things to watch our for seem to be bullet stabilization, and true muzzle threads.

The other problem is the increased blast really wears on the initial blast baffle giving you reduced life.

Maybe shoot a couple emails to the can makers and see if anyone will recommend you one for the short barrel

I debated for a long time on the PSD or the 10.5 inch LWRC M6A2.  Ended up going with the 10 inch because I want to run a can too and thought the 8 would void the warranty.  I dont have either yet as the ATF is taking forever to approve the paperwork...probably 3 more months til I can give you any report.  (Also went with the 6.8)

With the costs of 5.56 anymore, 6.8 is looking even better than ever.

See and I debated and debated; researched till my fingers bled and ultimately stayed w/ the 5.56.  I am still considering getting into the 6.8 at a later date.

I have a bit of time behind several 6.8spc models including the PSD.  The PSD is a little thumper.  My boss just set up a new Barrett REC7 with a custom Daniel Defense handguard and a Schmidt & Bender Short Dot.  It's a VERY nice gun.  I don't know if I am sold on the cartridge yet but it's fun to shoot.  I have shot quite a bit of Silver State ammo lately and can attest that it is very good stuff.  Jeff Kanada at SSA is a very nice guy as well.

I'm sure you will love that PSD!
