Went out to re-zero a couple rifles today. I also decided to test out this new Federal LE133 00 w/Flitecontrol wad buckshot. That stuff is impressive!!
I used my Mossberg 590 LE133- 4 1/2" grouping @25m. Without one "flyer" the rest were under 3". 1 1/2" hole @10m Federal F127-00B(older Hi Power 9 pellet load)- 18 1/2" group @25m with only 6 pellets on target. 8 1/4" group @10m with 8 pellets on target Federal Tactical Low Recoil(9 pellets)- 14 1/2" group @25m with 8 pellets on target. 4 3/4" group @10m. Two flyers opened up the group from 2 1/2". I will consider my shogun as a viable tool for self defense again. edit because it was 18 1/2 not 17 1/2

Hi Capt. You miss me yet? http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/catalog1/index.php/cName/12-gauge-buckshot
It sells out fast! |

Oh, I remember that gun. Is it feasible to shoot without that brake installed? |

Not easy. HDI stuck it good with fire. I will need a saw, $200, more fingerprint cards, passport photos and irreplaceable time. Do you think that brake is messing with the wad and pattern? I figured it was worth a try, but not for the hassle you would have to deal with. Try other loads or just use slugs. |
