I know if you buy a handgun from a dealer there is a 72hour cooling off period for your first handgun.

Is that the same if you buy from a private party and go to a Metro station to get it turned over?

Let me know if I am not making sense.

thanks

Nope. I've sold 2 handguns to my close friend/coworker and it was his first. They just took my blue card and did the background check on the buyer right there for no charge. Quick and painless and free.... free is good.

Same thing here, and he didn't even have to pay the 25$ NICS fee.  The laws here are jacked up and need a serious overhaul.

Cash and carry for first time handgun buyers in Henderson. There is no 3-Day wait just the NICS check.
