Cole Puffinburger photo from Fox 5 News Cole Puffinburger LVMPD earlier this morning reported that a 6-year-old boy was kidnapped this morning from a home near Hollywood and Lake Mead during a robbery around 7:15 a.m. Police say two men, described as Hispanic, took Cole Puffinburger. The boy was wearing a black John Cena sweatshirt, dark jeans and black Vans tennis shoes. He has blond hair and blue eyes and was wearing silver-rimmed glasses. He is 3'11" tall and weighs around 48 pounds. According to police, the two suspects knocked on the door and indicated they were police however once inside they tied up the boy's mother and her male friend and began looking for money in the home. Police say they took the boy when no money was found. The reason why there was no AMBER Alert Activation until just before Noon, was LVMPD had no descriptions to give. However, we now have one description of the three Hispanic males who are now suspects, all of whom speak with a Hispanic accent. One of the suspects have black shoulder length hair slicked back, in his early 30's, 5'7" and 150 pounds. Last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. It's not uncommon for the invaders to hit the wrong house...hence the not finding of what they were looking for. There are those that seek empty homes to plunder...you find the homeowner's entire house turned upside down hours later. Then there are those that target occupied homes, storm it with 2-5 armed folks, tie up the occupants and demand money, guns and drugs, and threaten the lives of the homeowners when they don't get it. This kidnapping action is not something i've seen professionally before.

It did sound like the parents knew the assholes. Metro said they where not going to discuss the relationship between the victims and the perps! Yep probably a targeted hit. |
I saw a house in that same neighborhood Tuesday with it's garage door mangled up and a Metro CSO just leaving the house. |
If in fact it has anything to do with drugs, I won't believe the mother was involved without hard evidence. |
I hope for her and her family that the boy gets returned unharmed. It will be tragedy if he doesn't. |
What sorry a$$ thinks that a KID is worth the same as DRUGS?!?!?!?!?! This just makes me SO MAD!!!!!!!!! I tell you what, my boys are PRICELESS! And ANY parent that even puts a child in that kind of harm and doing drugs doesn't know how priceless a child really is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I just can't stop thinking about this story. I don't believe that they were dresses like officers because they are talking about a "relation"... agreed 100000% word for word...if he is found safe and sound...i will take him in...i cant stop thinking about this poor kid. how scared he must be. wtf..really. he was the last thing i thought of when i went to bed and the first when i woke up. i saw my kids and thought...thank g-d for us, and please g-d help cole. |

The concern i have for not answering is it might make your house look like a easy burglary target. A buddy of mine mentioned that someone knocked on his neighbor's doors a few nights ago. The neighbor did not answer, nor did they make it known that they were home. The 'visitor' went into the guy's backyard! Once the neighbor saw him, he made it known he was home, and the guy hightailed it out to a waiting car. I don't know the right response, but i figured if they are there intending harm, they'll come in if i'm home or not; if the guy is there to kick in a door and grab things, he might be deterred knowing the house is occupied. Either way, I'm cocked, locked, and ready to Glock

Very True..Usually they can tell I'm home because the dogs and baby run to the door..so if that doesn't deter them then they will have issues.. I usually catch the baby before he makes to the door though..

Ug...i go through this EVERY TIME the doorbell rings. The girls sprint to the door, yelling WHO IS IT? about halfway there...when we're walking thru the mall, or store, or neighborhood, they are always quick to yell "Hi!" to anyone and everyone around, no matter how shady they look...

| A few months ago my boys were ridding in Grandpa's jeep.....my oldest yells at the guys next to them at the light and says "Hi! What's your name?" The guys says "George" my boy without hesitation yelled "Like the Monkey?" Thank goodness the guy was really cool about it and drove off! LOL |

***UPDATE*** Investigators are seeking a man named Clemens Fred Tinnemeyer in connection with the kidnapping of six-year-old Cole Puffinburger. The man is the missing boy's grandfather. whats that gonna help? if he put his family in harms way, i dont think hes gonna try to resolve this situation. mexican mafia are bad guys...no rules....they arent too different than the russians....they will collect what they are "owed" and still seriously harm (or worse) their kidnap victim. i dont think ive ever been this worried and livid before. i wish there was something i could do. we posted a missing poster at work..but im not optimistic it will help. as the average joe citizen how can we help???? ***edit for spelling*** |

If the grnadfather was found and apprehended they could turn him over in trade for the boy..That's who those guys are looking for..god help him if he is found..there are ALOT of pissed of people looking for him for the sake of this little boy.. THIS IS WHY I CARRY!!!!!!!! |
I think the unfortunate answer to this question is that average people will have this as an example. It's the kind of lesson we will teach our kids about why dabbling in drug use is NOT harmless and can expose you and the people you love to nasty characters that belong in movies, not your life. I really hope that Cole is ok, but if the FBI, DEA and Mexican authorities are all on the case, it sounds like they know something that is probably very unpleasant. Again, I am all for letting us regular folks fix these kind of problems. We could clean up our neighborhoods in short order. |

I'm so glad that the boy is ok. Someone saw him walking through a neighborhood close by and reported it to police. I couldn't sleep last night because I was thinking about him and what might happen if that happened to us. Turns out I knew the mom in HS too..Glad he is ok.. |

I am so happy he is home and even more happy that he is with his DAD and not back with the mother. I'm not saying that the mother had anything to do with it....BUT she is more "involved" because of her dad then Cole's father! I heard part of what Cole's dad said on the news and one of the first things Cole asked his dad is if he was looking for him. I'm sure that broke his heart! GLAD TO SEE HIM SAFE!

i spoke to coles dad,,,
he said thanks for the offer, but was a little stand-offish...understandibly so. i didnt ask for his address because i figured with the investigation and all..in fact, i suggested to him that when the dust settles, he is more than welcome to come to my office (same shopping plaza as where they were meeting to give out flyers..in fact, thats where i met him before they found cole..to express my sympathies) and i would give him the gift certificate. he remembered me, but didnt sound too enthusiastic about it...im sure he's still a little overwhelmed...i understand. i reminded him whenever he feels like it, to just come on down. again, he thanked me and i congradulated him again on cole's safe return. we will see if he decides to take me up on the offer......if not, im still just very happy cole is back!
