Going to buy a Aimpoint m3, but can't make up my mind what dot to get. Would the 4 moa dot be better than the 2. The eye's are old and tired, time for bi-focal contacts. I usually shoot 100-200 yds, I will eventually put nv on it.  Give me your thoughts.

thanks  Bob

I like the 2 moa.... I don't like the 4 at any distance over 50 yds.

i WISH i had the 2 moa.

there are ZERO benefits to the 4 moa over the 2.

I have the comp m3 with the 2moa dot.   I am over 50 and like most our age need
bifocals/reading glasses.  The 2 mos dot works just fine for me.  I have other brands of red dot sights with 5 moa dots like the Burris tactical and Bushnells.  They work fine but at distance cover too much of the target.  The aimpoint dots can be made more than bright enough too be seen by anyone with adequate vision for driving in almost any light ( or lack of).

I have a comp ML2 with a 4moa dot. I don't hate it. It's not a surgical precision instrument, so as long as I can whck jackrabbits and hit man sized targets, I am doing fine.
When i had the ACOG on it, it was more precise, but not as fast. I would probably choose the 2MOA if it had been available when I got mine.

I would get the 2 MOA.

For quick aquisition and close up stuff crank up the intensity and the dot will appear larger.  For long and more precise shots the smaller dot of the 2 MOA model rules.  In my opinion, it is just a bit more versatile.

Another vote for the 2MOA. It doesn't suck.
