| How was the gun show? Did they have more ammo vendors there? I need to buy 9mm JHP ammo (Federal & Speer JHP) so I wondering if it's worth going in to purchase some and to look around. |
Yeah that $14 blew me away. still a lot of swap meet STUFF.![]() Miwall had some good ammo prices, some lower than the group buy(by a couple bucks), some a few dollars more... We did get a kick out of the vendors selling - PMAGs w/o window for $16.99... while remarking to customer what a great buy it was... Betas for over $300 |

Just your typical gunshow. Nothing new. I saw a few nice guns for private sale, but nothing special. I got some Pmags with windows for $15 each. I also bought some G17 mags for $17 each as well. Found some reloading powder for a decent price, but it was gone by the time I came back to pick some up. Otherwise, I got my $13 worth |

That just confirmed my decision to not go to this one. $14.00 to get into a gun show? Does anybody know if Mandalay bay has a policy against gun shows or do they just price it out of existence. I know they have the antique gun show there. Buying off the net, or at certain dealers and avoiding gun shows that are more beef jerky and garbage shows are how I am shopping now. |
| Aww... What fun would that be? I got to look at future Lap Band candidates and some really cool tatoos. I saw a 9MM M16 buffer with a $89 price tag ( $39 at J&T) and a bunch of other stuff at ridicalas prices. I LIKE beef jerky, and I like to people watch. Your mileage may vary. |
I to be fair, I'll revise, for parts and sometimes hard to find things they are stil great. But for buying new/used guns and or ammo...forget it. For me the best things is meeting new folks, and getting info from some of the very knowledgeable people that work at some of the tables. |
After seeing the price increase at the door I swore I would not attend another show. It is ridiculous to have to pay to go shopping. The vendors must be laughing inside at how the sheep line up. One dealer I was looking for wasn't present, so that item will wait forever. I found myself buying a few things which were fairly priced just so the admission money wasn't wasted. Then I found my deal of the day, some powder at a great price. I also had the good fortune to run into Nevadasun and exchange pleasantries... So I left the show a winner, but will be very slow to consider attending another one. What is happening at Cashman is portending a great loss for the Las Vegas shooting community.

I would go to a gunshow and pay the admission just to meet other people with the same interests as me! Where do you go to meet other people. Shooting ranges, or maybe AR-15,com? Either way, its going to cost money until you start meeting the right people. Admission becomes free, better deals are to be had ect... The only thing that I have not been able to beat yet is the parking fee, but I did manage to get one of them to dance one time |
