I'd keep the S&B as the Rem has been showing signs of lack of Q control.  The S&B also appears to be a bit stouter in it's load parameters.

I am not expert, but I would think American ammo would be better?

I HAVE SHOT THEM BOTH AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH EITHER  BUT THE S&B STORES IN MUCH SMALLER AREA(FITS IN AMMO CANS PERFECTLY)REMINGTON A LITTLE MORE BULKY BOXS,BUT I WOULD KEEP THEM BOTH SPEND MORE TIME AT THE RANGE AND RELEIVE A LITTLE STRESS AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR OVER SUPPLY OF AMMO AT THE SAME TIME,TO MUCH IS NEVER ENOUGH!

Let me know what you decide to sell. I may be able to take some off your hands. Could use some .223 and missed the last gun show.

Also, have Tracer rounds if you're willing to trade.

Keep all of it!,stash it in a Dry out of the way place. The price of it is just going to keep climbing and when you buy the next time you'll wish you had'nt sold

getting rid of "extra" ammo doesn't make sense to me unless you no longer have use for that caliber.

I could'nt agree more and these days the "Hey Hiwa I need a Battle pack" are gone unless you pay the going price

You got to figure it out-Stash It!

Not even close.....keep the S&B.  The UMC stuff has some big quality control issues.  At least 2 people from the NVHTF have recently weighed in on threads regarding KBs using UMC.  I don't think either of them had it KB in a rifle but both IIRC did say they've personnally had experinece with bad bullet setback as in actually being able to push the round back into the cartridge.

Yeah, I've shot a bunch of UMC but given a choice, it's S&B hands down here.

I would shoot all of it or sell it and buy some of the Federal XM 193 that is floating around right now if you plan on stock piling ammo.  The price is reasonable and the stuff is of a higher quality than both brands listed above.  Shoot some of that S&B at night or indoors and check out the ridiculous flash!

Good to know.  Never shot my AR at night or in a building.  Gonna have to wait for the carbine course for that...lol

Try some of that S&B at Discount Firearms.  The flash out of my Vortex was ummm..let's just say it was "noticeable."

Any ammo is better than none, but, as it has been stated, there are drawbacks to stashing junk ammo. You might pay a little more for shipping and what not, but in the end, its worth it.
