Little confused with muzzle break on AK47, if I replace the original break with US made do I need to solder it (permanently attached)?

Only if the barrel is less than 16 inches in length. Close the bolt and run a wire or dowel down the barrel and mark when it hits the bolt face, if the length is less than 16 inches you will need to permanently attach a muzzle device to get to a legal length.
