Is there a good gun smith in the North Las Vegas area. I need to get some night sights mounted on a couple hand guns.

Hi there neighbor. Did you try calling Bargain Pawn? I think they have a gunsmith there. Ask Glen @ 399-9950 or email him at [email protected]

Hope that helps.

Bargain Pawn does have a good gunsmith there.  Dennis did some work for me.  It was done very well and in a timely fashion.  Recently, he's had some health problems so his time has been taken up going to the doctors.

After almost a year, I took mine back from them, and went somewhere else!

I was referred to ccs and have not tried them yet, but with that feedback I'll look elsewhere.

The best 'smith in town is Burt Taylor.  Slow, but methodical and a true perfectionist.  His work is the best I've seen in the valley so far.  His guns run, period.

I don't know if you remember me posting about where to take my broken 6904, but that's where I took it.  They said they would call me in a week to tell me what is broken and estimate to repair it.  I think it took a month before they even looked at it.  If they would have said that they are backed up for awhile it wouldn't have been an issue but don't promise one thing and do another.  On top of that I think they lost the pistol at one point because they couldn't find it when I called them and I was on hold for about 30 minutes while they looked for it.

Talked to Mario Alfonsi (Absolute Firearms and North LV PD), ha gave me a name of Dennis Weismann 327-9391. That is who he goes through and I know Mario gets quick turn around time.

Chiz45,

I lost Burt's number.  I will get it for you.  I just need to get a hold of a buddy who has Burt work on all of his pistols.
