Under the new CCW legislation effective on October 1st, the issue period for a nonresident permit will be 5 years.
Will current permits be extended to 5 years or does the new 5 year validity only apply to those issued after Oct 1st?

In reading the text of Senate Bill 237, I do not see any language that makes this statute retroactive; so I would assume that the Nevada non-resident permits issued after October 1, 2007, will be for the new five-year period.
