| Is it legal for non-residents to open carry? If so where and when? |
Where exactly is "there"? It is a big state. |
|
Here we go again on the fun carry topics I would avoid open carry in Boulder City because of their ordinance. On federal land other than BLM land, check out the specific requirements that they have. And, if you go carrying down on the Strip for example, be prepared to be talking to Metro (the cops) and hearing screams from the gun fearing |
15 miles north of Winnemucca. |
And this needs to change!!! The parks can be pretty bad according to the park police I have spoken with, as well as personal experiences (thugs, unleashed monster dogs, etc). The big parks are apparently safer than the local community parks. |
Lol, you could carry a Nuke there and nobody would bat an eye. |
| We talked a lot about this in one of my business law classes a semester or two back. It's neither here nor there on the law books. Doesn't explicitly say you can, BUT doesn't explicitly say you can't. Which means you can do it at your own risk, panicky citizens or over exerted and uninformed cops will react however they want. Make sure you don't enter places where it is specifically posted that you can't carry or any of the normal no zones (airports, post offices, police sub stations, court houses, etc.). Some of you may have noticed at Walmart there were for a short time signs that said "No Firearms Allowed On the Premises" or something to that extent. If you go back (specifically to the one on Lake Mead & Boulder Hwy, Garden Entry) you'll see a new sign "No Firearms Without A Permit." Enjoy, and remember, the bigger your gun is the more you're compensating (for the possibility of a terrorist attack!) =D |
Myself and a group of other ARFcom members got together a couple of years ago and got those signs changed at the Wally-World at Lake Mead and Boulder Highway, and the one at Trop And Pecos. |
Also illegal in Washoe county parks, except the Washoe county parks shooting range... |
|
Well I'll be damned. NLV Municipal Code 12.16.020 Prohibited acts. Within the limits of any park, no person shall do any of the following acts: ... 20. Take into, exhibit or use in any park any firearm, air gun, slingshot, firecrackers, torpedoes, rockets or other fireworks, or other articles of like character; (Ord. 779 § 1, 1984; prior code § 7.64.020) Source It's a damn good thing i've never done that
|
It is a generic statute for "Violation of Park Rules". So, each park can and is different in relation to what is on the sign (curfew, weapons, acceptable acts, etc) |
This should explain it....
