Anyone have recent experience on how long Utah's been taking getting CCW permits to folks?

Got mine in 29 days but Utah sends a letter that states if your background comes up with any negitive to please send back the CCW card issued. So you will get your permit but the check may not be complete.
I know, I know that's what I said...............................WTF!!!

Well they charged my Credit Card on the 18th of December and no permit yet.  I was on their website tonight and I believe they have 60 days by law to issue them.  Sent them an email, interested to see what they say.

I got mine last month.....it took them nearly 80 days (just a few days slower than Florida).

I called after 60 and the women I spoke with told me they were extremely backed-up.

Ok that makes sense.  There's a link on their site with a budget related briefing that show how the # of permit applications has skyrocketed and how they still have the same amount of  staff and same budget.

Got an official reply back from my status query:

"In response to your question as of today they are approximately 80 plus days out.

BCI is getting swamped with applications but there is no additional funding coming in as to hire more employees.

The legislature is in session now.  There is a bill that would allow BCI to get several new
employees.  If the bill goes through the turn around time will be cut in half. "

Utah website explaining their costs vs state funding, which is only $88k per year.  Interesting.
