No shit.  I posted in the ammo forum about this earlier today.  Long story short I picked up a couple of boxes of UMC 55gr .223 this weekend for $5.34 and today they were $6.44.

I'm thinking I picked a bad time to start getting involved in this sport.

Ammo is going up everywhere. With the price of metals and fuel also. It sucks !  I  invested in some bulk ammo a while ago, and I am glad I did. I have seen it go way up since I did.

I was watching the market reports today on TV, and Copper has dropped 10.4% since the first of the year, so wonder what is making the ammo prices go up, except possible Sandbox use?

Oil was at $50 today also.  Dont see the price at the pump going down though.

We had this conversation at work today, especially related to walmart.  One of my employees has a theory that it's tied to the minimum wage going up.

It's called inflation and it is still with us.  Add to that the need for copper and other metals in other countries and things are getting expensive.  Surplus ammo is pretty much gone unless you have some stored away.

Oh yea also the dollar is now cheaper so yo pay mor for hte same thing from overseas.

Government is the problem

Thanks

stopped in a Walmart today, here in NY (upstate).

.40 S&W 100rnd value pack was listed for $17.95.....guy rung it up, showed to be $19.95...and like $21 and change after tax!!!

I told him no way it was right, ...well after 3 assistant managers assisted and fiddle fucked with the machine, they got it right.

Bought all the ammo they had..all 300 rounds (as I roll my eyes, as I wanted at least 500rnds).
