Friends, I slept in a warm bed last night. I ate a hot meal this morning. I will see my family today. Why? It is because of Veterans. If it were not for Veterans I would be speaking a language other than English and I would be bound in slavery and strife. I take all of the above to heart, not just on Veterans Day, but every day of my life, because if it were not for all of the brave men and women fighting the good fight of the current war and of wars past, life as I know it would be very different. I want to take this space to thank all of our armed forces for keeping me safe 24/7 365; for if it were not for them I would not be typing this message in freedom, peace and safety. Please, if there is one thing you do today take a moment to remember those who have fought, those who have died, and those who are serving. And if you pray say a prayer and give thanks for all they do that you don't see and take for granted. Thank you Veterans.
