Hey Brother....you have HFD's condolances once again.   CCFD has lost 3 guys in the last month or so, one on-duty and 2 off-duty...I am in total disbelief that something so terrible could happen to a department 3 times over in such a short time.  And did I hear correctly that there was also a spouse or two that passed away?

Very sorry to hear the bad news!

1st off, thanks brother.

All 3 were FF, and all 3 were on the same shift... "C" plt.
And yes, there have been others also, spouses and children.

The continued support of all of the other agencies / Departments has been a God send, and is most appreciated.  I know the families have been absolutely awestruck at the response, as have I.

It is enough to make you sit back and realize what a great Brotherhood we actually have here.

We have another funeral on Thursday....if I never wear my Class "A" again, it wouldnt break my heart.

E22..my brother works on a Hot Shots team up in Reno and I know that they aren't as dangerous as actual firefighters but I still worry about him.  You have my prayers for the families and friends of these guys.  They had to love what they do and gave their lives doing what they loved.

Wildland is every bit as dangerous, different tactics, better scenery.  And it is a young mans game.
