Well, made it back in yesterday afternoon.  Flew from Kuwait to Shannon Airport in Ireland to refuel and grab a couple beers.  Talk about a cheap date:  After a pint Guiness and a pint of some sort of red beer I started feeling a buzz.  The flight was delayed taking off for an hour as the plane had a flat tire.  Don't know why it took so long, they had 277 people that would have happily jumped on changing it.

From Ireland it was off to Dallas, the hub for all R&R flights where people have destinations in the western half of the US.  As the plane pulled up to the gate we had two fire trucks shooting water over us from either side of the plane.   As we left the terminal we had scores of people cheering and greeting us.  People were there with cell phones for us to use to call home, water, and cigarettes.

At the domestic departure gates, American Airlines (who I was on) invited me up to their Admirals Club where there was a bar (Whoo Hoo!) and showers (my 24 hour deodorant had long since quit).

After talking and drinking for a while--I was going to get some lunch but after a couple Beam & Cokes and a Sammy Adams I forgot all about that--I noticed I had to go or I'd miss my flight.  Range-walked down to the gate, handed the guy my ticket and he zipped it through the machine when it buzzed and threw up a red light with the display saying I was not on that flight.  Yup, right gate but apparently my flight got moved down a number of gates.  So off to that gate I went.

Got on the plane, and off we went.  Drink cart came by and I asked for a beer.  Got my wallet out and I'm told they wont take my money.  Very cool.

Got back to Vegas and my wife and daughter was at the gate waiting for me.  Finally, home at last!

Welcome home Glenn!

The baby must be over a year old now, huh? I'll bet she's so big you hardly recognized her. Call me when you get settled and we'll catch up on those beers! (on me).

Later Bro.

Be Safe.
