I will be coming to Las Vegas in June with the family.Will take 1-2 days for ME time.I've heard the Citadel gun shop is the place.Can you give me phone,address, and hours of operation.Any other good places to check out???I will also be taking a half day trip to Mesquite to shoot sporting clays. Any GOOD restaurants off the strip,I will be staying at Hilton Grand Vacations.Will have transportation. |
Citadel is a good store, but I would also give Black Rifle Armory a visit. BRA has lots of Black Rifles, handguns, and other cool stuff. The owner's name is Martin. He is a former Marine, very knowledgeable, laid back, very easy to do business with, and his store is very easy to get to. It is right off U.S. 93/95 and Lake Mead in Henderson, just east of the Fiesta Hotel and Casino. I love shooting clay out at Mesquite...have fun!  For restaurants, what are you looking for? We have everything from coffee shops to the high class all with prices to match. I do recommend Olive's inside Bellagio, you can wear shorts or dress up but the food is great and priced well. They also have a balcony you can get seated out on and watch the fountain show every half hour. Very memorable. |

We just went shooting in Mesquite last weekend and it is getting pretty hot up there. I think that they opened at 8 AM and I would recommend that you show up as close to that as possible. There is another great place a little closer to Vegas that is quite a bit more challenging if you are up to it. Their website is www.desertlakecc.com/ and it is located on the way to Boulder City which is maybe 20 minutes from the strip. If you get the chance you should to try some 5 stand which is pretty challenging and fast paced. Edited to make link hot, nice site! WP |

If you want the cool factor I would definitely go to Citadel. They have a LARGE selection of AR15 parts in stock (about 3x bigger than just last month). The AR15 parts selection is just as good as any gunshow, but better because the prices aren't jacked up. Really nice selection of guns and they even have a .50 M2 right in the middle of the showroom. thanks, Ron |
