So far the news doesn't indicate what type of rifle was used in the shooting.
Good news is the girl has been released from the hospital. Both the girl and her date are expected to make full recoveries. Male does need further medical attention. This sounds to me like suicide by cop, probably a 22 hunting rifle. I'm hoping it is NOT an AR, AK or SKS. 
If anybody knows, please post!

| I don't know what type of rifle was used, but I'm not sure it matters in this case. This is a text book example of a situation where a good guy with a gun stopped a bad guy with a gun in his tracks. This incident doesn't seem to be getting much media attention, at least that I've seen, and I believe that's why. |

If it was a EBR of any stripe, the media would have been all over it.
About all they can get out of this besides general calls for more gun control is to point out it was a cop that shot the suspect, not an armed civilian. As for naming names, don't use their real name. Use an insulting name...Poopy Micropenis for example. |

It started out "High Power" or "High Caliber" with "High Capacity" magazines.
Now, no mention. 
Bout' 'Poopy McMicroPenis'? Seems to be the pattern for made up names these days. I guess we can rule out the big three for now. Pass the problem to Ruger or whomever made the shotgun. No deaths, no evil guns,hopefully, Poopy and his story disappear.

This ones close to home. Deforest/West Allis Shooting
I live next to Deforest, an easy walk from the interstate. Roughly ABS area. Didn't happen at a school which is probably why no mention of "High Capacity Bullet Clips" The Deerfield shooting a couple of years ago was more exciting as I know the "Good Guy" involved in it. At least that one didn't happen in my driveway. Me thinks its time to start thinking concealed carry and keeping a truck gun about. An AK pistol? Generic assault pistol?  Beginning to wish I didn't sell the Saiga-12
