Going to be visiting the in-laws. Travel via POV from S.C.

I've got a resident VA CCW permit.  As far as I can tell, I'm good with reciprocity except Illinois and Wisconsin. However ... WI is an open-carry state, right?  So really, just unarmed in Illinois?

Is it possible for a non-resident to get a WI CCW?  I don't see that it is/isn't addressed.

Thanks for the confirmation/refution.

I have no first-hand knowledge, but THIS MAP seems to say you're good to go in WI.

Yep only Non resident VA permits are valid in WI. Now a UT one is good to go.

As for OC-ing in WI. Without a CCW theres ALOT of gun free school zones which overlap in most cities where you cant open carry without a ccw.

LOL...don't worry, there are no active duty bases here in WI (I don't count Coast Guard facilities).

There are less than 25,000 troops here and less than 900 active duty (according to FIPChart dated Nov 2015).

No MTFs either. Shittiest state for .mil to retire in...LOL.

If you are a .mil MP. SP, (i.e Federal Law Enforcement Agent) you can get a nationwide CCW LINK to LEOSA

Best of luck shooter.
